The Elementary grades at FCA offer an arena for students to expand their academic pursuits as well as to grow in their knowledge of Christ. A strong phonics program ensures that every student develops good reading and comprehension skills. The curriculum includes Bible, language arts (spelling, reading, handwriting, and language), math, history, and science. In addition to the traditional curriculum, students receive further instruction in Spanish, computers, library, art, music and physical education. A daily effort is made by the teachers and administration to encourage the development of individual Christian character and leadership.

Cupstacking Club

Students in first through fifth grades have thoroughly enjoyed the new Cup Stackers Club at recess time! Students went four times (twice in October and twice in November) to Mr. Bowers' classroom and learned the basics of speed stacking.

First, it’s just plain FUN!

Second, it improves hand-eye coordination, quickness and trains your brain towards becoming ambidextrous. “Sequencing and patterning are also elements of sport stacking, which can help with reading and math skills.” (from speedstacks.com)

We will be resuming Speed Stackers Club in January! Sign up will begin in December. To learn more about Speed Stackers Club, email Mr. Bowers.
